It has been a little while, but I'm back:

  • Massive congrats to Ryan Booth & Henry Proegler for the release of Five Star. Definitely worth your time:

  • If you are not waging war on the sin in your life and not growing in your knowledge of God, you view Jesus as a historical figure and not a savior. -M. Chandler

  • Fun to see Nickel Creek back at it. I love this song.

  • Suzy Lee is going full-time with Dear Darling!

  • My friend Trey started doing Weekend Links on his new site. Stay tuned to what he posts. It's always going to be well worth your time.

  • If you're following me anywhere, you know that I LOVE Seth Godin's blog. This post in particular is helpful for me: "'No' is essential"

Disclaimer: We'll post photos from our trip soon.

  • I love The Message's take on Ephesians 3:20: "God can do anything, you know far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us."

  • The Digital Age record is out now and I cannot recommend it enough! Get it here!

  • Got a kick out of this Matt Wertz video:

Up in Pasadena enjoying a wedding weekend, but here are some fun things from the week:

  • Two of my favorite menswear companies, J. Crew & Apolis have come out with a new collaboration. Take a look!

  • My new Osprey bag is on the way to our place for our trip this summer. Thanks to Austin Mann for the recommendation!

  • Been listening to the Tree Ring all week after the house show earlier this week. The songs are SO good.

  • Excited for The Inlaws to have their new EP out!

  • Interesting for Google be releasing a competitor to Evernote...

  • IC + SXSW + Noah Gunderson: Sweet.

  • Love trying out new apps, and if you're just looking for a spot to write and eventually collaborate, Draft seems pretty cool.

  • Even though I am really committed to Things, checking out TeuxDeux again has been fun as they've been beefing it up a bit.

  • Pretty crazy to realize Invisible Children has been going on for 10 years! Fun to look back at the early videos and think of how many lives have changed because of the movement.

These weeks are flying by! Lacey is starting classes at her new school on Monday and I am so proud of how she is throwing every effort she has at this new job. (Super proud husband here.) I am helping her in the classroom today and I am excited to lead worship at Clairemont Emmanuel this weekend. Always fun to team up with my dad. Now, some links:

  • Have I already mentioned how pumped I am for the new Lakers roster? Dwight Howard on top of Kobe, Steve Nash, Ron Artest & Pao Gasol?! That photo is just ridiculous.

  • Keiran said it best: "Samsung owes Apple one Instagram." I'll probably never try to get in any legal battle with Apple.

  • Here is a great story FastCompany featured from my friend Bob's new book, Love Does. Check it out here.

  • The blood, sweat, and tears we have put into ZenCash are starting to pay off. Fun to have this feature released.

  • Everyone has been watching Charity: Water since they set the bar so high in conveying what they do as an organization with their media. They released a new home page this week and they definitely met the level of clarity and simplicity they've done so well with.

  • Holiday Matinee is not only a great blog, but they have the best mixes. Their August Mixtape is fantastic.

  • It is inspiring to get a glimpse into lives of people who craft things with their hands: thosewhomake.com

  • This week, two of my favorite companies (Evernote & Moleskine) announced they are combining forces. I carry both of them with me essentially everywhere I go to record notes, ideas, quotes, thoughts, etc. I am interested to see how this notebook turns out.
