#PorteOuverte

image

In the past week since the events in Paris took place, a hidden beautiful moment from the horrific evil that took place was #PorteOuverte.

Soon after the bombs were detonated and the authorities asked citizens to stay inside, citizens who wanted to open their home to people who were displaced or needed temporary shelter used the hashtag #PorteOuverte, which translates to "Our door is open."

What a beautiful hashtag!

When you are looking for shelter, what better message to read?

Don't you want to live like that? Keeping your doors open for the weary and worn? (That can even include your friends.)

One of the Greatest Honors

About six months ago, I mentioned that one of the most significant honors of my life thus far was officiating one of my greatest friends' weddings. I was just looking through Daniel & Sarah's photos again, and wanted to share a few! (Well done with these photos,Logan!)

Anchor of Our Souls

We who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go. -Hebrews 6:19 (The Message)

Going through this book over the past few months and sitting on this week's piece (Hebrews 6:13-20) compels me to ask you: What is the hope you have? What anchors your soul?

Our society seems to be anchorless. Fads are quick, and trends pass easily. Time is moving fast. But what keeps you rooted?

Hope you get to sit on that a little bit and answer for yourself.
